Cumulative view
Pick a phase. This lists every feature introduced up to that phase, limited to the groups switched on at the left. It shows what the engine could do by then, as recorded in the audit.
Model chooser
The bundled sample models are open-licence, each under its own licence (see CREDITS.md). Everything runs in this browser: nothing is uploaded.
A 3D model is a file that describes a shape (and sometimes its colours, pictures and movement). Pick one below to look around it, or load your own.

Load your own model
Choose a GLB, glTF, OBJ or FBX file. For a .gltf or .obj, select its side files (.bin, .mtl, pictures) together with it. The files are read by your browser only and never uploaded. The licence and source fields are your own notes, saved on this device.
Not supported yet (coming next): Draco, KTX2 or meshopt compressed glTF; FBX animation and skeletons (FBX shapes, colours and pictures do load); old FBX 6.x; 3DS (local-only legacy). A clear message is shown instead of a failure.
Model types and descriptions
3D models are files describing shapes. These are the types the Muse engines deal with, according to the audit.
Referenced test packs (not bundled)
These are only referenced, not bundled. The bundled sample models are listed in the Model chooser tab.
To look at a model or load your own file, use the Model chooser tab.
About Auto-SI
Auto-SI is an independent MIT-licensed project by Paul Buckingham (Axonis Pty Limited). It is not made, endorsed or approved by Autodesk. It is offered to support Autodesk and its developers, and Autodesk has a say on its name, credits and scope. Autodesk names and logos belong to Autodesk.
Auto-SI is the code name for a viewer built around the Muse engine fork. Author and director: Paul Buckingham. Code and tooling by Grok Bot and Muse. See CREDITS.md.
What is real in v0.4
- The 32-phase timeline, dates, sources and switch lists come from the audit of 2026-10-02.
- Filters, highlight mode, the cumulative view and the installable app all work offline.
- The Model chooser previews 9 bundled open-licence test models, or your own GLB, glTF, OBJ or FBX file, drawn with Muse raw WebGL (no 3D library) using Auto-SI's own small file readers. Nothing is fetched from a CDN or uploaded.
- New in v0.4: no 3D library is used any more. The preview is drawn with Muse's own raw WebGL approach (WebGL 2, or WebGL 1 as a fallback), with Auto-SI readers for GLB/glTF (shapes, node transforms, materials, base colour, normal and metal-rough pictures, skeletons and animation clips), OBJ with MTL colours and pictures, and FBX shapes, colours and pictures (binary or ASCII).
- Since v0.3: a Customise look panel (tint, brightness, roughness, metalness, wireframe, background, lights, auto-rotate, field of view, grid and shadow, presets, Save look and Load look). A customised look is viewer-only: it never changes the model file, and Reset restores the exact loaded look.
- The Hugging Face links point at the two Spaces named in the audit (Engine 29 and Engine 32).
What is placeholder
- Not a live engine runner. Nothing here starts or controls an engine.
- Local engine links only work on the studio PC and only if that engine's server is running on the port shown.
- Auto-SI description is a fixed template filled in from the loaded file's data. No SI model is used. Customised looks are viewer-only and do not change the file.
- Coming next (shown as a friendly message, not a failure): Draco, KTX2 and meshopt compressed glTF, FBX animation and skeletons, morph targets, glass, clear-coat and sheen extras. Old FBX 6.x and 3DS are not planned.
- Engine 30 and 31 have no verified Hugging Face Space.
